We can’t believe that 2022 is almost over. With all the fantastic homes we’ve photographed, changes we’ve made to our website and fantastic clients we’ve worked with, it feels like this year has gone by way too fast. Before diving headfirst into 2023 (what?!), we thought we’d take a moment to have a look back over the year that was.
We’ve photographed so many amazing houses this year, and it would be unfair to keep them to ourselves. From grand acreage properties to boutique apartments—we’ve seen it all! Experiencing these homes really is the best part of being a property photographer. We want you to see our work too, so we’ve handpicked four of our favourites to share with you.
This Redland Bay home was photographed back in October by Martyn and Tracey from RPP Logan. It’s bright, airy and impeccably styled! We love how everything fits together seamlessly—from those plush cushions to the perfect choice of art. One of our favourite things about this home is the way the blue of the pool peeks through the window—it’s the perfect summer treat! We understand if you want to achieve this look for yourself, so we’ve come up with some tips to help! Make sure you start with a neutral base then add pops of colour. You’ll want to pick three complementary colours to spread throughout the room. Finally, pick a piece of statement furniture and you’re all set!
This is one kitchen we’d love to spend time in! Featured in August, this Craigieburn home was captured by William Dai of RPP Melbourne North West. Walking into homes like this is always fun—we love how spacious and luxurious they feel. Want to recreate this look? You’ll want to keep your styling as minimalistic as possible. Find some pieces of furniture with warm-wood accents, and soften up the space by including some green pot plants and carefully curated books.
Darren of RPP North Shore got to shoot this fantastic Orewa home. Sometimes, everything comes together perfectly for twilight shoots and we get to see results like this one! The bright lights, subtle sky and lovely lush grass are working to create this fantastic shot. Are you getting twilight shots done in 2023 and want them to look like this? Make sure all your exterior and interior lights are working properly and spend some time looking after your lawn.
Back in May, Burke from RPP Melbourne Outer East photographed this incredible Berwick home. We love the mix of warm wood, brick wall and white marble countertop. The concrete flooring gives an industrial feel, but this has been softened by the carefully considered lighting and cleverly placed greenery. Want to achieve this look at home? It’s all about sparse styling and warm wood finishings. Try lining your cupboards with strip lights to get this modern feel.
